LUXEMBOURG REPORT In 2001/2002 negotiations took place between the Luxembourg Shipowners' Association, the Luxembourg government and the representative trade unions in order to revoke the FOC status of the Luxembourg flag. Finally, in June 2002 the Fair Practices Committee decided to revoke the FOC status of the Luxembourg flag on an ad hoc basis, i.e. only for the vessels of the Luxembourg Shipowners' Associations members. The results of PriceWaterhouseCoopers' study concerning the economical impact of the maritime sector on the country's economy were presented to the Luxembourg government.
